Jane Charleson
Psychologist
I am a Registered Psychologist working in an online private practice throughout New Zealand. I have experience working with infants, children, adolescents and families in both the public sector and private practice, providing assessments and interventions for a range of difficulties.
I have a warm and compassionate approach and work collaboratively with clients to develop a shared understanding of their difficulties and their treatment goals. I draw on evidence-based approaches to ensure treatment is tailored to meet individuals needs and goals.
My specific areas of interest are eating disorders and trauma related difficulties. Evidenced based treatment approaches that I can offer for eating disorders include Family Based Treatment (FBT), Adolescent Parent Treatment (APT) and CBT. Evidence based trauma informed approaches that I specialize in include prolonged exposure and EMDR. I have completed additional EMDR training in the areas of chronic pain, addictions, children and adolescents and the use of EMDR for recent traumas.
I am currently unable to accept ACC referrals.
